The First Great Lesson - Introduction to Geography
This is the first of the Montessori Great Lessons. The story of "God Who Has No Hands" gives an introduction to geography as it tells a tale of creation and the laws of matter. This lesson is given to all children in the elementary class every year during the first week of the school year. It is the first of the five Montessori Great Lessons.
God Who Has No Hands - Demonstrations
This Video is primarily to give background information for the first Great Lesson - God Who Has No Hands - This explains the demonstrations for the story and also gives more information about the story. It can be watched before or after the story. It will help prepare the adult prepare the materials needed to allow the child to reproduce the demonstrations.
2nd Great Lesson - Coming of Life - Prelude
This is the beginning of the the Second Great Lesson of the Montessori elementary. The "Prelude" leads up to the unrolling of the Time Line of Life, The geologic timeline of the Phanerozoic Eon. This prelude ties together the first Great lesson and tells of the important job Life had to help balance the ecology of the earth.
